A Little Book Love In Leeds

Apologies for the absence of posts here last week, I was working on a Secret Project. Lots of fun but very time consuming. Back now though and to start the week I thought I share a couple of lovely book related events.

If you click the image above you'll be able to read all about the bookshop on a barge that visited Granary Wharf this weekend, I caught it on Saturday when the sun was shining which only enhanced its beauty. There's more photos on Flickr too.

This second image is of the Great Food series of Penguin books, twenty selections taken from books covering four centuries of food writing. The woman who put the series together spoke at the Ilkley Literature Festival recently and treated us to cake made from recipes dating between 1615 and 1922. What does Tudor marzipan taste like and which cake contained smelling salts as an ingredient? Click the image to find out. :)
